Always be recruiting … even when you aren’t hiring

Your financial planning firm is only as good as the people who work there. So when you have a position to fill, the stakes can be high.

And it’s not just that good people can be hard to find. Your financial planning firm likely feels like a tight-knit family, so you need to bring in someone who will mesh well with the rest of the team.

The problem is, figuring out if a candidate is the right fit isn’t an exact science. And it can be pretty hard to do in an interview.

That’s why I’m a firm believer in never taking your recruiter hat off, even when you aren’t hiring.

Because if you’re always on the lookout for quality employees – especially at networking events – you could potentially have several lined up before you need them.
